Gettin' Fit

I'm linkup up with Kristen and Raven for Inspire Me Healthy today!

All In My Twenties

Workouts from the past week:

Friday: Elliptical, 4 miles
Saturday: 3 mile walk/run
Sunday: 2 mile walk/run
Monday: 4 mile bike ride on an UNPAVED road (my bootay hurrrts)
Tuesday: 45 minute weight training at the gym (Ahh-mazing)
Wednesday: OFF
Thursday: 2.8 mile walk/run, abs

I am such a HUGE advocate of exercising in the mornings! It gives me SO much more energy and gives me something to actually look forward to in the mornings instead of just going to work. And I also don't feel as guilty about eating ice cream!

Total weightloss since engagement: 7 lbs! I started weighing myself first thing in the morning and will do it daily so it is more accurate. When I get on the scale at night, it has been saying I'm about 3 pounds heavier. I haven't seen that smaller number in a few years!

I came across this beauty the other day... WOW is all I have to say- teeny tiny- I was obviously running a million miles a day and playing sports:

yiiiiiiiiiiiikes- probably like 120 lbs

Issues:

Ice cream obession
Loving processed foods
Bored snacking
Loving Diet Coke (only like 2-3 a week though)
Burgers and FRIED sweet potato fries last night.. Whoops
Tyler always wants a REAL meal (sometimes I just want cereal)
Not drinking enough water.. Ideas?

New finds:

Homemade sweet potato fries (let me know if you want the recipe- so easy)
Frozen grapes-- I looove to snack on things like that so I bring some to work and it satisfies my sweet tooth!
Lemon/tangerine/lime water with mint -- the doctor Oz pin on pinterest:

That's it for today!

What are you doing to be healthy? Any tips, advice, etc accepted and needed!

xoxo

Good for you! I'm big into morning workouts too. I find if I put it off until the afternoon I rarely have the energy to complete it. I'd love to hear your sweet potato fries recipe:-)

Maybe I should try the whole morning workout thing... I just don't know if I can drag myself out of bed at 5:30. Although, the thought of having it over for the day sounds wonderful! Don't fret about the Diet Cokes... that is something I have battled with for a few years. I limit myself to one a day and that is my treat. Not the best thing, but I look forward to it every day and its not like I'm drinking so much of it. Good luck!

You're doing great! I enjoy working out in the mornings as well since that way I know I won't weasle my way out of it after work! One thing I will say is that working out in the morning makes me hungrier throughout the day due to an increased metabolism...and it makes you think it's okay for that ice cream or cookie. You know what I mean? I try to stick to one sweet a day. It doesn't always work of course! I also try and vary my workouts morning vs. evening in order to keep the hunger bug away some days!

congrats on the 7 pound weight loss!! that is amazing!!! I'm a water chugger, its the only thing I drink, but I always drink more while eating and Ive heard to drink as much water before a meal if that helps?? amazing job with the workouts too -I am so good mon-friday and then Saturday and sunday I don't move a muscle and eat all fried, processed food. blah. and the boys always want to eat so much more! it makes it so much harder! good for you!

Since Bryce and I started dating a little over a year ago we've both gained a lot of weight--having a man can really pack on the pounds! I'm trying to get into a more regimented workout schedule and also just be more mindful of my eating to hopefully start shedding the pounds! Good luck to you, girlie!
