With a bunch of people coming over, I realized I needed to make a couple of side dishes. Once I realized each family was bringing a dish, I realized I didn't have to make everything I had planned.
Here is what I made:
Asian Slaw:
Sorry for the AWFUL quality-- took picture with the saran wrap on the bowl |
1 pack chicken Ramon noodles crushed (save the flavor packet)
1 bag slaw
1/2 cup slivered almonds (without skin)
1/4 cup sun flower seeds
3 green onions chopped
dressing:
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
3 Tsp. vinegar
chicken flavor packet
Mix dressing in small bowl then pour over mixed slaw.
Enjoy! Doesn't last too long after you originally make it, but still so good!
Corn Dip:
Sorry, no pic..
1 stick of butter
1 oz cream cheese
2 cans corn drained
Salt & pepper to taste
Combine all in crock pot until butter and cream cheese are melted. Serve with pretzel thins or Frito scoops!
Fruit Pizza
1 roll sugar cookie dough
1 oz cream cheese
1 container cool whip
your favorite fruit!
Bake cookie dough according to the package. While it is heating, combine cool whip and cream cheese. Take dough out of the oven and let it cool, then spread the "paste" over it. Add desired fruit in fun pattern!
Some of my favs! Yum!
We also had people bring mac & cheese, has brown casserole, baked beans, and cookies. It was delish!
What do you bring to a BBQ??
