To a lot of you, this may be a boring post, but as I've mentioned before, my blog is a way for me to document what has been going on in my life!
I've started running lately and really want to run a half marathon this fall. I'm running a bunch of 5k's to keep goals. This weekend I ran the "Races for All Paces" 5k in a town about 25 miles away. The hospital put it on, and it was not half as fun as the 10k I ran in Champaign.
My goal was to finish in under 28 minutes. It was so hot and I wasn't as mentally prepared for this race. I had to not let myself walk when I really wanted to, especially up this hill that I wasn't expecting!

I finished in 27:40-- thats 20 seconds under my goal! YIPPEE!!
It was SO hot!! Even at 8 am!

Next race: 5k for Cystic Fibrosis put on by some of my friends here in town on June 2!
