Our Venue: Sneak Peek!

Told you this blog was going to get all-things wedding related.

Last week I stopped by our venue again to check it out without any decorations. I have been to two wedding receptions there and may athletic banquets and other type of dinners. It always looks so different!

The Cinema used to be an old movie theater. I actually grew up going to movies there as a kid! It then went out of business and someone bought it and turned it into a venue. We like it because it is just a big room with lots of space. Unfortunately, we do have to do everything from the caterer to decorations, but both our caterer and florist are AH-MAZING. Guess I can post on that later!

Here is a sneak peek of The Cinema from last Friday. They must have had some sort of event going on over the weekend because the tables were set up.

We are doing a great deal of decorating in the big room.... tables, high cocktail tables, and even white sofas for guests to sit on while taking a break from dancing!

We're having bamboo chairs rather than these that they offer to make it a little more romantic! This is the view when you walk through the entrance.

The bar back behind this picture will be draped with pretty fabric and our cake will be displayed there.

Dance floor and stage for the band!

We'll have tables and lamps and flowers out in the lobby.

Hopefully we'll get some decoration outside too. The front makes great pictures!

Eek and def trying to cover this yucky mirror!

Hopefully we can dress the box office up too!

Our florist/event coordinator is phenomenal. She is one of the best in Columbia and is so talented!

How beautiful are these sofas?

We'll have one very large centerpiece on our main food table.

This is one of our bars!  How gorgeous!!!

OH MY GOSH.... I am in LOVE with this venue! I think it has SUCH personality and potential to be so beautiful!!!! Here are some ideas that popped up in my mind when I was scrolling through the pictures!!!

I actually don't mind that mirror. Mind you, it may look different IRL- but I think it could make for some pretty great photos of you & Tyler there.

The ticket box could be filled with photos of you two in all sorts of different frames & maybe some items that represent you two....kind of like a shadow box!

I am DYING over the cinema wording---at night time that will make for some great photos!!

I like the idea of having to make it whatever you want! Ours is decorated very Southern with the most gorgeous wall paper already, soooo there isn't really anything to add or it would all look too busy haha! Flowers will be the main decor haha! Can't wait to see it all come together!

I agree with Emily on the mirror. It may look differently in person but I think it looks really pretty!

CHARLOTTE!!! I love the venue and I can't believe I am not seeing it until now. I seriously think it is perfect for everything you have told me about your wedding plans! It has so much potential for you to add your personal touches. I love the outside of the venue and I think that could really bring out some cool pictures, especially if you do some in the evening time!! ALSO-I know you said you hated the mirror, but I don't think it is too bad :) I can't wait to see the details of your wedding and hope you aren't going crazy like I am with all the fine tunning!
