New Favorite Lunches!

Since I have started my new job, I have struggled finding healthy, yummy, and easy things to eat for lunch. We have a Subway, a bbq place (scared to eat there because its not southern bbq), a very famous Amish restaurant, a burger joint, a bar, and an Amish sandwich place. Sooooo, I don't have many options.

I normally pack my lunch (a peanut butter sandwich, apple, granola bar) and go sit at the park in the car and read my Kindle or listen to the radio. I usually call my mom and Tyler then too to check in and usually vent about my morning!

In trying to think of easy ideas for lunch, I have come across these awesome frozen meals. I have always eaten Lean Cuisines, but I swear that Healthy Choice meals are 100% and keep me full much longer!

These are the ones I have tried so far:

I had this one today. Not my absolute favorite, but will buy it again!

This one is my favorite!!!!!! SOOO good! I had it yesterday!

So, there you have it.. My new lunches! I am tired of my normal routine and Tyler and I never have leftovers for me to take! I am not really a fan of peppers and onions in food, especially peppers, so I try to find ones without these ingredients or ones I can easily pick out. I'm not a picky eater by any means, but I'm just not a fan! I also like to stick with chicken. I'll save the beef and other meat for other homemade meals!

Also, I'm proud of myself for joining a women's volleyball team in the next town over! I haven't really played since high school and MAN I am already sore! It was so fun, though! I have the strawberries on my knees to prove it!

Makeover Monday

(it kind of pains me to say that but, hey today is over, right?)

Today's category is SKIN CARE.

I'm not going to lie, I don't take care of my face like I should. I normally do not like using products because I have greasy, greasy skin and most of the time products make me break out. Since I have moved to the land of the freezing, I have had to resort to moisturizer.

I picked up this one day on my lunch hour while doing a little shopping at Dollar General (seriously there isn't anything else in the town where I work) and it cost a whopping $4. I have been using it alot and I really like it; it doesn't feel heavy on my skin. I do still feel greasier than usual, but as windy as it is, I need something to protect me!

I have used all types of facewash, too and they get mildewed in my shower over time because I do not ever use them up! I also am convinced face wash makes me break out! I started using Dove bodywash over the past year or so and just started washing my face with it. I swear by that stuff!

This is the best, for face or body!

And the final skin care regimen that I have is my makeup remover. My mom swears by vaseline to take her makeup off, but I can't handle the clumpy and yuckiness of vaseline. I used to use Mary Kay makeup remover but found that this works just as well. If I don't take my makeup off at night, I can't sleep. Nothing is worse than waking up with black eyes from mascara/eye liner!

Everything I use must be oil free or for oily skin! 

So, there you have it... my very minuscule facial skin care regimen. Can't wait to see everyone else's products!

Out of Ideas

I feel like lately I have been at a loss for blog posts. I don't really do anything interesting enough to blog about. I'm still trying to make friends here in my new town and winter is a hard time to try to even got motivated to do anything. Other than a couple of link-ups, I've lost motivation to blog lately. Does this ever happen to you?

Today the snow started... I was a little anxious all day about driving in the snow so I was pretty much a failure at work.. This time last year when I came to visit Tyler for the first time I LOVED the snow and had so much fun being snowed in, but getting snow and driving to work and watching it out of your window at work all day is no fun!

Anyways, sorry for the borderline complaining and whiney post, I just need some ideas and motivation to blog. I've started shifting my blog to reflect my move rather than shopping/products/reviews/etc because more of my family and friends back home has started reading my blog.

Any ideas for blog posts? Do you ever get in a blog rut?

1. What time did you get up this morning? 

I usually get up around 6:20 or so.. This morning was 6:45. I didn't want to get out of bed!

2. How do you like your steak?

Well done! Uh I cannot handle the any redness in my steak!

3. What was the last movie you saw in the theater?

You know, I can't really remember? Maybe Something Borrowed? It's been a while!

4. What is your favorite TV show(s)?

- Law and Order SVU

- Private Practice

- Grey's Anatomy

- Revenge (my new fav!!)

- And I guess Pawn Stars will have to be added to the list as I feel like thats all we've watched lately!

5. What did you have for breakfast?

Today I had some Kashi cereal that looked like dog food (but surprisingly OK and it held me over longer than my normal breakfasts). Other breakfasts include Whole Grain Eggos or oatmeal and COFFEE! 

6. Do you wear glasses or contacts?

I'm supposed to wear glasses everyday, but I don't! I usually wear them driving at night and after staring at the computer for a long time!

7. Where is your favorite place to eat?

Well, in Spartanburg I had a lot- Converse Deli, Cribbs, Fugi (you know, the terrible fast food japanese). At home I  love me some Orangeburg Toyko Steakhouse Japanese food! Here, we eat at a Japanese place called KoFushion a lot. Do you see a trend here?? 

8. What kind of vehicle do you drive?

As of my move, I have a 2005 or so Tahoe that my dad was kind enough to loan me over the winter for snow since it has 4 wheel drive. I miss my little Pathfinder but hopefully I can switch back OR actually make enough money soon enough to buy something! 

9. What are your favorite clothes this season?

Well, the nice part about my job is that there are only like 6 of us in the office and no one cares what you wear to work! I can even get away with a sweatshirt! So, I am trying to save my money for nice work clothes to go towards something else! And honestly, I probably couldn't tell you whats in season because I don't live with my fashionable roommates anymore!

10. Where would you want to retire?

South Carolina on the lake!

11. What is your desktop photo?

A field of cotton at work... and sweet Lily (RIP) on my personal computer.

12. What is your favorite sport to watch?

Football

Younger brother, John

14. Favorite pastime/ hobby?

Law and Order SVU, walking outside when its nice, crafting, blogging (when I have had time), learning to cook and bake!

15. Are you a morning or night person?

Honestly, I'm a combination. Once I'm up, I'm up, but at the same time, I could go to sleep at 8:30 or midnight. I've been trying to go to bed early with work!

16. Do you have any pets?

I have two cats at home (again, RIP Lily) and a dog, Abby. We had a TIME with Scruffy when I was home over Christmas. She wasted 8 hours of my life when she went missing inside our house.. Long storyyyyy. Now, I would say my pet is Sarge who is Tyler's dog. He is currently panting beside me. He is an awesome dog and an awesome retriever! He is Tyler's best friend and hunting buddy!

Turquoise blue.

Oh just to name a few.. Crunching ice, people licking their fingers in public, bad manners period.

Tulips. They remind me of my grandmother. But I do love receiving ANY flowers!

20. How many times did you fail your driving test?

I never failed it! I did have to parallel park a couple of times, but in the county where I took my test you really never ever ever parallel parked so I think they let me slide.

New Addiction

I am currently on episode 9 TODAY of this show....

I seriously can't stop watching. I have been trying to watch on all of the sketchy websites that have terrible quality to get through to catch up to the episodes on ABC. I feel like I am a part of the show myself because I have been watching since like noon today and its 8 pm! 

Hopefully I will get rid of this nasty sinus infection by the end of the weekend!
