After my 10k this past weekend, I realized that it is time for some new running shoes. My Nike+ app says I've run about 224 miles in my current shoes... whether that is accurate or not, I'm not sure. But I've also done workout classes and walked around in them leisurely.
I went to my local running store, Palmetto Running Company and tried on 3 pairs of shoes...
I had been to a running store before, but I really had a great experience here. They took pictures of my feet to see what type of shoe I really needed. All along I've been wearing a neutral shoe... Turns out I need stability! I overpronate and need that support. Plus I don't have the prettiest feet and have bones sticking out of every which-way!
I think the Saucony. I didn't pull the trigger yet because I wanted to do some research online and get a few more opinions first, but I think that is what I am going to go with, plus I've found them on sale! They also have a dark silver color with pink and green accents... A little more fun than the white and blue.
So I want to hear what type of running shoes you have and especially what you wear if you overpronate!

I think I need to go to one of our running stores. This makes me wonder what kind of shoe I really need! I love my asics though.
I love the looks of #1! Very cute!
Some runners replace their shoes about every 100 miles, so I'd say that you definitely needed a new pair!
I have a pair of Brooks and absolutely love them! They're so light!
I'm in the Lowcountry too {Charleston}....love those running shoes...I love to do 5Ks and 10Ks...hoping a half someday soon. www.styleoyster.blogspot.com
I overpronate and love my Saucony's!! It's a great investment!! :-)
I have Asics but I couldn't tell you what kind they are. What in the world is overpronate?! lol
Can;t wait to see the shoes you end up getting! Make sure to post photos :)
I love the Saucony Glide! I have been running in saucony for a while and find that they are both really supportive and really comfortable!
I'm SOOO behind on blog reading lately! But I miss you friend! I hope that you're doing well! I too love getting fitted for shoes at running stores. I tried the Sauconys back in May/June. I ended up returning them since I actually supenate instead of pronate! So I run on the outside of my feet! Crazy how everyone can run so differently and that there are shoes for everyone :)
