Well hello there!! 

Sorry about my absence! These computer problems are quite a pain. I have transferred everything off of my computer onto an external hard drive (Thank you for all the info Kimberlee) and now need to figure out organizing my pictures on iphoto to give me more room on my computer.

Until then, the next posts will probably be a hodgepodge of pictures and thoughts that are already on my computer and mind.

Here's our gallery wall that goes up our stairwell.

I was actually able to use Tyler's first deer on the wall and it really blended well!

I realized these pictures are pretty old -- some frames don't even have pictures inside of them!

happy birthday tyler!

Today is my husband's 26th birthday! I seriously feel like we just celebrated his 25th while living in Illinois.

I cannot believe we are almost at our 3 month anniversary AND our engageaversary on June 29-- WOW! It just doesn't feel real that we are married. We have been so busy the past few weeks and it's not getting any slower, but hopefully tonight we can take some time to just chill out, watch a movie, and just enjoy each other. Maybe even go on a little walk with our pup (who is definitely 110% again for those of you following along his pancreatitis disaster!).

I know he doesn't read my blog (he thinks its silly), so I can give you the scoop on his birthday gift-- a framed map of Beaufort and the surrounding areas from me (he LOVES maps) and crab pots from my parents. We are truly embracing our salt-water living!

Anyway...

Since I've been sharing our wedding pictures on Wednesday, I figured it was only appropriate to show off our "newlywed session" from our wedding day! I'll resume next week in order!

This is the sister car to the Rolls Royce that my parents left their wedding in in 1981! The family has both cars and were so sweet to drive us to our reception in it. It was quite tiiiiiny in the back for two newlyweds with long legs!

why were we so awkward in high school?

There really is nothing better than laughing at someone else's high school pictures. I mean, we were all awkward and had braces and/or bangs. We even took selfies (before they were cool).

Today I have the pleasure of royally embarrassing myself.... via Facebook circa 2006-2007.

Junior year I was elected by my class as a representative for May Day. This is my friend Caroline who was May Queen. She recently started this fancy mortgage blog and gave me a shoutout earlier this week, so I am now returning the favor... 

This is a real throwback. I was a high school senior.... This is Rebecca, my MOH who is now super cute and prego! We are such babies. #bestfriendsfoevaaaa

Junior year. My high school played in the playoffs for a state game!

You may recognize some of these ladies from previous posts or pictures- Allison, Bess, Caroline (above), Chelsea (see her wedding HERE), Catherine (see her wedding HERE), Caroline (I'm hosting her bachelorette party this weekend but see a shower of hers HERE), me, Anna (she's getting married in August... Tyler is in her wedding).

Because graduation night isn't a real thing without Vineyard Vines and a pink panty pulldown (Mom, just skip this one.). I guess I missed the memo on "dressing up." I was such a prepster and dressing up meant a polo.... And these are my friends Kendall and Trez.

This is one of my favorite pictures EVER. These girls were my sports BFFs and I haven't seen or talked to them in years. And WHY WAS I SO SKINNY. Ugh.

Oh, prom. Now we are MARRIED or getting married. What is this? Caroline's Bachelorette party is this weekend! Hooray!

Oh my Wes Wes. He has been my buddy forever and visited us this past weekend!

We also won awards in high school for our Christian character. 

Oh hey club volleyball team. Y'all we were SO bad. Kendall, did we EVER win a game? a match? anything? This is how Kendall and I became best friends, by the way. Have you seen her precious BLOG? Yikes and check out that spandex! It is definitely at Goodwill now!

Do y'all remember (even vaguely) Sajia from American Idol in 2007? Yeah that's who I was.... mohawk, my dad's Adidas, London flag t-shirt, and flannel. 

That one is TOO EMBARRASSING.

Ok, I guess I should stop. But, you get the point. We were awkward in high school.

Engagement Pic Preview!

I was g-chatting with Megan and Shannon and at the same exact time they both said "OMG YOUR ENGAGEMENT PICTURES ARE AWESOME!"

My response was WHAT!?!?! I had no idea our photographer had posted them anywhere.

BEST.SURPRISE.EVER!!!!!!

Ok, so I initially wanted to wait to share some engagement pictures, but I REALLY have to post the ones that our great photographer posted on Facebook. These are a few of his (and my favorites) but I did take one down that will probably be our "engagement photo" for my local paper at home.
