wedding recap: first dance

Today's wedding recap is a little tardy.

We danced to "This Will Be" by Natalie Cole.

PERFECT CHOICE if I do say so myself!!

If you don't know what song I'm talking about, here it is:

Here we go!

Tyler did such a great job dancing for a non-dancer!

it's official: i'm an insurance agent!

Whoo hoo!

I passed my SC Insurance Exam yesterday morning with a score of 80%! You only have to have a 70% to pass so I am really proud of myself for rocking it! I seriously studied my tail off ALL week and couldn't think of anything else while I was at home with my parents taking the class and coming home and studying until midnight. How do you people in school do it after being out of school 2+ years. Yikes. Looks like I won't be doing graduate school!

Now all I have to do is pass my SLED background check (which better come back perfect), and I'm good to go! I'll be able to sell insurance and talk with customers about their policies.

Thank you for the prayers and well-wishes!

Now I can relax because Tyler's parents are in town for the week!

Have a great weekend friends!

in this crazy life

Hi friends! I've been in Columbia all week in class to get my insurance license so I have been really concentrating on studying, not blogging!

Tyler's parents are coming to visit Friday for the week, too, so I'm afraid I will be gone awhile next week too.

Needless to say, life is CRAZY! If you're a praying person, we sure could use a few extra prayers to get life to slow down so we can regroup! And i have my huge exam Friday that i have been praying about for weeks! Thanks in advance!

Also, Thank you for your sweet comments on the formal wedding shots. They turned out so great!

Be back soon but here are a few phone shots to let you know what I have been doing (for fun)!

Surprise flowers from Ty.

Anna and Will's wedding.

Awesome 6.2 mile run last night.

A visit with my BFF and her sweet little girl Lucy Cooper!

Oh and I didn't win powerball. Wamp wamp!

Thank goodness for blogger app on my phone! Then I really would be MIA!

Xo

throwback thursday song version

This #throwbackthursday is a little abnormal.

Let me first take you back to 5th grade where I entered the state-wide Farm Bureau talent competition in Myrtle Beach. I won my county and advanced onto this competition.

I had this sweet painted rainbow in the background, Kermit sitting on top, and an awesome homemade rainbow dress made jsut for me by our seamstress. I still remember mom and me going to pick out the fabric in Orangeburg (is that store still even open by the bowling alley???).

I won 1st place in my division singing The Rainbow Connection from the Muppet Movie. I won a trophy and $100 and it was the best.day.ever. Except my microphone wouldn't cut on and I got really anxious and almost walked off of stage. But didn't. Happy Day!

Sorry that I don't have any pictures from this special day OR the video (Tyler isn't allowed to watch it yet).

Monday when I was getting my nails done (before the dog drama), this song came on the salon's awesome Pandora station that originally sounded like a break-up playlist. I had never heard the Jason Mraz version but ultimately fell in love and made my pedicure THAT much better.

Enjoy. I'll be reminiscing about 5th grade in the dirty Myrtle.
